Texas Social Studies Network

The Texas Social Studies Network is a group of representatives from organizations which provide resources to support Texas social studies instruction. It's mission is:

"to facilitate the sharing of information and foster collaboration between resource providers
in order to effectively support Texas teachers and students."

All organizations who provide such resources, initially in the 2nd, 3rd, 4th, and 7th grades, are encouraged to participate. Discussions of issues, projects, meetings and more are handled through the network's Google Group at http://groups.google.com/group/txssn. Network members are encouraged to have their organizations be Partners of TeachingTexas.org and make use of this free service to promote awareness of their resources, but there is no requirement to do so.
